Description
This is a complete replacement memcal for VN VP VR VS VT, and also suitable for VX / VY supercharged applications.
These memcals are MTP (multi-time programmable), meaning they can be erased and reprogrammed repeatedly. Supplied blank ready for you to program yourself.
Long VN-VS memcals use a Winbond W27C512 EEPROM, and the short VS-VT memcals use a ST 27SF010 EEPROM. These are electronic erase (they do not require UV erasing).
The long memcals include resistors to configure the memcal for the correct number of cylinders, as well as provision to mount the factory netres IC’s and knock filter.
If you’re looking for a pre-programmed memcal ready to use, rather than one to program yourself, I can also supply these.
Please note:
- Brand new MTP EEPROM’s of this type have been obsolete for many years, and are no longer available to purchase from reputable suppliers. The EEPROM IC’s used on these are reportedly reclaimed / recycled. Each unit is read/write tested to ensure they work, but no guarantee can be made that these are not non-genuine clones or fakes. If you do end up with a faulty EEPROM, email me and I will replace it.
- If using a program designed for 27C128 or 27C256 on a long VN-VS memcal, you will have to stack multiple copies to fill the 27C512 EEPROM.
